It has been the most insane few months! I am not really sure how we have survived it. It really is a small miracle! Scott took 3 classes (9 credit hours) this semester and I took 6 classes (17 credit hours). We managed to survive it all. Yesterday was the end of the semester. To celebrate the end of finals, I though I would finally post a few pics from the past little while.
Crazy hair day at school was pretty fun! You can't see the boys hair very well, but Carter has a design on his head that we painted (since his hair is too short) and James made his Mohawk look like flames with a little bit of food coloring mixed in the gel. The sure had a lot of fun!
One of my classes was a four day field study course in Canyonlands National Park: The Needles District
The scenery was incredible! Breathtaking doesn't even cover it! We hiked all over and stayed in the most interesting campground, complete with our own cave. It was interesting to be the only non-geography major there. It was a little bit comical at times. I did not have the same experience to bring to the table that is for sure! I am sure the others got a good laugh out of my company :-)
This hike was supposed to be about 3 miles and ended up being 8 miles in the sand. It was a test of my endurance for sure. It was hot and 3 out of the 5 people ran out of water before we even got to this point in the picture, then we had to turn around and go back. It was so beautiful and totally worth it though! That is not me standing on that ledge by the way, it is a couple of the people who went with us. It was an incredible experience! One I can't wait to repeat with my family someday.
Scott bought himself a new puppy (and when does he have time to potty train it?) named Ruger the Second. He is sure cute, but oh what a handful. He got him 2 weeks before the semester ended and I thought I might lose my mind. I was stressed about school and tests and kids and now a puppy too...AAAAHHH! But we did make it okay and so did Ruger.
Thanks to Remi, Ruger knows his place in the hierarchy of the family. Remi is like the annoying big brother that refuses to let the little brother do anything wrong without pitching a fit about and tattling. He seriously acts like an ornery old man sometimes. It's good for him to have a buddy though.
This was the first day or so that we had Ruger and all he did was sleep. He is not so docile now, but that is probably good for all of us. We are going to get our exercise this summer (whether we like it or not)!
