First Day of School

Monday was the first day of school and boy was it crazy. The kids are still on their summer schedule (mostly because the sun is still up late) and so getting up was a chore for all of us. James is going to a different school this year and is riding the bus for the first time. It was hard for me to let him get on it the first day, but its getting better. We got through the first week just fine though.

The bus stop is just around the corner from our house. Carter figured out that if his stands in the top part of the playground he can see James at the bus stop. So while the weather is nice he has been watching James come and go from the backyard. I thought that was pretty cool!!!

The star in the picture is to show you where James is. The sun was hitting in just the wrong place.

Carter's Primary Prayer

A little background is necessary for this story. The kids were sick all last week. All different symptoms. Loreli ended up at the doctor and had double ear infection. The antibiotic they gave her had bad side effects. She ended up with the worst case of diarrhea.

Well on Sunday Carter was giving the prayer and my friend Kendra was watching her baby. She said that all the kids were doing their usual "wiggle and try to be reverent" routine until Carter blessed that "we would all not get diarrhea." Needless to say Kendra said the kids all listened to the end of the prayer and the adults had to try really hard not to laugh out loud!!!

Thankfully for you there are no pictures to prove this story but that is the story of the week. I hope you have all had a good laugh at our expense. I have too!!!

Swimming Lessons

James , Carter, and Loreli had the opportunity to go to Aunt Karen's house and have swimming lessons this week. They did a great job and had a ton of fun too!!!

Loreli is having a great time in the backyard today. She is so cute!!!She wants to be big and I think unfortunately for me she is growing up to quickly!!!

Carter will be our future FDA inspector. Loreli will be his assistant, picking only the best grapes for him to inspect. Do you think this one is ripe?

Daisy loves it when the kids come to play. Loreli found the safest way not to get knocked down. Sort of a drive up pet and run.

Sleeping Beauty

Nothing really exciting is going on. If you hear the hallelujah chorus on August 25th that's me. That's the first day school :-).

There aren't any picture of Loreli awake because I can't get her to keep any clothes on. If anyone has a creative solution to my problem, I'm all ears.

Fit to Be Tied

This is why you should never leave two little boys alone for any length of time!!! James and Carter took the strips of fabric from my latest sewing project. James thought that he would put them to good use while I took a shower. As you can see, Carter is thrilled.
