Carter's tenth birthday was just like Carter would want it, a little bit of spice, a lot of fun, and family and friends included in the party (especially the dad).
He loves spicy stuff so we got him his very own bag of jalapeno Cheetos.
Carter wanted either an iPod touch, a computer, or maybe a camera. Unbeknownst to him we got him this camera about 3 months ago. It's even red. Are we good or what? His grandma Andrea got him the camera case so it will stay safe, unbroken ( in theory).
Carter took lots of pictures with his new camera when we went to a fun center with some people of his choice. I took this one so that Carter could be in the the picture, but he took most of the rest of them.
Passenger: Sydney and Driver: Jason
James disappeared on us, apparently he was in the first car and beat all of us. but I didn't even know he was in the same race as us so we missed getting his picture in a car.
Loreli insisted on riding with me first, just us girls. We have so much fun on the go carts. Loreli just giggles uncontrollably the whole time. It is hilarious. Did I mention that James is barely tall enough to be a driver, so if the adults don't drive Carter and Loreli get left out. That was not such a fun discovery. Carter was really bummed at first.
Carter was so very happy that Scott had the day off, no school or work and could hang out and have fun with us.
The boys. Carter is taking the picture. He had pictures of everything. He even took pictures of the cars driving next to us on the way to his birthday celebration. He is so silly! They didn't turn out very well because there was too much movement though so he deleted them.
We had pizza for dinner (of course) and Carter requested (demanded) strawberry shortcake for dessert.
These are all the goofballs that showed up for dinner, movie (Monster's Inc.) and dessert. Sydney (in the blue shirt, Isaac in front, Josh in the very back, Jason (in the orange), Dominic (in the red shirt) and Lenny (in the white). It was a houseful and Carter had a great time.
Carter took this picture of Loreli and claimed that she climbed "Mud Everest".
A couple of years ago (around the time that the movie Castaway was released) Carter made a pirate friend with his soccer ball. He has never seen that movie but we told him about the part with the soccer ball turned friend and he decided to make his own. This was what he took a picture of yesterday. He came and showed me the soccer ball wearing his bike helmet and proudly announced, "He's baaaack."
